Review: Vulcan Harp for iPad

by trekkiefeminist

Vulcan Harp for iPad is a ton of geeky fun. They had a table at Star Trek Las Vegas and one of the developers took time explaining it to me sort of like in this video. The devs really put a lot of thought into making it intuitive even for musicians, like the fact that the note doesn’t sound until your finger leaves the string, and building in the ability to strum. You can also change keys and octaves, distortion and reverb, and make the instrument sound different to emulate the ways it sounded in various TOS episodes. And you can record your songs and share them various places.

Just hung out at home relaxing by playing it on my iPad. Now all I need is the sheet music to “Beyond Antares” and an Uhura to sing with me.
